Mind: Desire to be quiet, to be let alone; dullness, languor, listless; apathy regarding his illness; complete absence of fear; delirious on falling asleep; emotional excitement, fear, etc., lead to bodily ailments; bad effects from fright, fear, exciting news; stage fright; child starts and grasps the nurse and screams as if afraid of falling.

Materia medica indications — میٹیریا میڈیکا میں مذکور کیفیات

Head: Vertigo spreading from occiput; heaviness of head; band-feeling around and occipital headache; dull, heavy ache, with heaviness of eyelids; bruised sensation; better by compression and lying with high pillow; pain in temple, extending into ear and wing of nose, chin; headache, with muscular soreness of neck and shoulders; headache preceded by blindness; better profuse urination; scalp sore to touch; delirious on falling asleep; wants to have head raised on pillow.

Eyes: Ptosis; eyelids heavy; patient can hardly open them; double vision; disturbed muscular apparatus; dim-sighted; pupils dilated and insensible to light; orbital neuralgia, with contraction and twitching of muscles; bruised pain back of orbits; one pupil dilated, the other contracted; hysterical amblyopia.

آنکھیں: پلک کا ڈھلکنا؛ بھاری پلکیں؛ مریض بمشکل کھول سکے؛ دہری نظر؛ آنکھ کے پٹھوں میں خلل؛ دھندلی نظر؛ پتلیاں پھیلی اور روشنی سے بے حس؛ پٹھوں کے سکڑنے اور پھڑکنے کے ساتھ آنکھ کے حلقے کا اعصابی درد؛ آنکھ کے حلقے کے پیچھے چوٹ جیسا درد؛ ایک پتلی پھیلی، دوسری سکڑی؛ ہسٹیریائی کمزوری نظر۔

Throat: Difficult swallowing, especially of warm food; itching and tickling in soft palate and nasopharynx; pain in sterno-cleido-mastoid back of parotid; tonsillitis, shooting pain into ears; feeling of a lump in throat that cannot be swallowed; aphonia; swallowing causes pain in ear; paralysis of muscles of deglutition.

Stool: Diarrhoea from emotional excitement, fright, bad news; stool painless or involuntary; cream-coloured, tea-green; partial paralysis of rectum and sphincter.

پاخانہ: جذباتی ہیجان، خوف، بری خبر سے دست؛ بغیر درد یا بے اختیار پاخانہ؛ کریم رنگ، چائے جیسا سبز؛ مقعد اور اس کے عضلے کا جزوی فالج۔

Urinary: Profuse, clear, watery, with chilliness and tremulousness; dysuria; partial retention; profuse urination relieves headache.

Respiratory: Slowing of respiration; great prostration; spasm of glottis; aphonia; acute bronchitis, respiration quickened, spasmodic affections of lungs and diaphragm.

نظامِ تنفس: سانس کا سست ہونا؛ شدید نقاہت؛ حلق کا تشنج؛ آواز کی بندش؛ تیز سانس کے ساتھ شدید برونکائٹس؛ پھیپھڑوں اور پردۂ شکم کی تشنجی تکالیف۔

Heart: A feeling as if it were necessary to keep in motion or else heart’s action would cease; slow pulse; palpitation; pulse soft, weak, full and flowing; pulse slow when quiet, but greatly accelerated on motion; weak, slow pulse of old age.

دل: ایسا احساس کہ حرکت میں نہ رہا تو دل رک جائے گا؛ سست نبض؛ دھڑکن؛ نرم، کمزور، بھری اور بہتی نبض؛ سکون میں سست مگر حرکت پر بہت تیز؛ بڑھاپے کی کمزور سست نبض۔

Extremities: Loss of power of muscular control; cramp in muscles of forearm; excessive trembling and weakness of all limbs; hysterical convulsions; fatigue after slight exercise.

اعضاء (ہاتھ پاؤں): پٹھوں پر قابو کی کمی؛ بازو کے پٹھوں کا اینٹھنا؛ تمام اعضاء کی شدید کپکپاہٹ اور کمزوری؛ ہسٹیریائی دورے؛ ہلکی ورزش کے بعد تھکن۔

Sleep: Cannot get fully to sleep; delirious on falling asleep; insomnia from exhaustion; from uncontrollable thinking; yawning; sleeplessness from emotional excitement.

نیند: پوری طرح سو نہ سکے؛ سوتے وقت ہذیان؛ تھکن سے بے خوابی؛ بے قابو سوچ سے؛ جمائیاں؛ جذباتی ہیجان سے بے خوابی۔

Fever: Wants to be held, because he shakes so; pulse slow, full, soft, compressible; chilliness up and down back; heat and sweat stages long and exhausting; dumb-ague, with much aching and great prostration; nervous chills; bilious remittent fever, with stupor, dizziness, faintness; thirstless, prostrated; chill without thirst.
