Key notes: The most marked characteristic is the odour of the urine — very strong, like horse’s urine; changeable colour; uric acid diathesis; gout and rheumatism with urinary symptoms; joint pains alternate with urinary or heart symptoms; cracking in joints; gouty nodes; tendo Achillis swollen and painful.

Materia medica indications — میٹیریا میڈیکا میں مذکور کیفیات

Head: Hot head; pain from occiput to vertex; nape stiff and painful; tearing pain extending to temples.

سر: سر گرم؛ گدی سے چوٹی تک درد؛ گردن اکڑی اور دردناک؛ کنپٹیوں تک چیرنے والا درد۔

Stool: Frothy, white, watery, very offensive stools, like horse’s urine in odour; exhausting; diarrhoea of children with strong-smelling urine.

پاخانہ: جھاگ دار، سفید، پتلا، بہت بدبودار پاخانہ، گھوڑے کے پیشاب جیسی بو؛ تھکا دینے والا؛ تیز بو والے پیشاب کے ساتھ بچوں کے دست۔

Urinary: Repulsive odour; changeable colour, brown, acid; enuresis; dribbling, offensive urine of old men; excess of uric acid; urine dark, very strong smelling; cystitis, with mucus and pus in urine.

Extremities: Joints crack on motion; tearing, with stitches; pains change locality constantly; pain in tendo Achillis; gouty concretions; swelling of wrist, right hand; pain in knees; nodosities in joints; rheumatic gout; ganglion; bunion of great toe.
