Key notes: Indicated in congestive headaches, hyperaemia of the brain from excess of heat or cold; suited to nervous characters who suffer from the effects of heat — sunstroke, heat-stroke; tendency to sudden and violent irregularities of circulation; violent convulsions associated with cerebral congestion; sensation of pulsation throughout body; pulsating pains; surging of blood to head and heart; cannot bear heat about head.

Head: Confusion, with dizziness; effects of sun-heat; head feels enormously large, as if skull were too small for brain; sun-headache, increases and decreases with the sun; shocks in head, synchronous with pulse; headache in place of menses; throbbing headache; congestive headaches; cannot lie down; better pressure; cannot bear any heat about head; better uncovering head; throbbing, bursting.

Face: Flushed, hot, livid; pale; sweaty; faceache.

Heart: Laboured action; fluttering; palpitation with dyspnoea; cannot go uphill; throbbing in whole body to finger tips; sensation of heat on heart.

دل: دل کی محنت سے حرکت؛ پھڑپھڑاہٹ؛ سانس کی تنگی کے ساتھ دھڑکن؛ چڑھائی نہ چڑھ سکے؛ پورے جسم میں انگلیوں کے سروں تک دھڑکن؛ دل پر گرمی کا احساس۔

Female: Menses delayed, or sudden cessation with congestion to head; climacteric flushings.

زنانہ اعضاء: ماہواری میں تاخیر، یا سر کی طرف خون کے زور کے ساتھ اچانک رک جانا؛ سنِ یاس کی گرمی کی لہریں۔

Extremities: Itching all over; pain in left biceps; drawing pains in all limbs; backache.

Modalities: Worse: in sun; exposure to sun-rays, gas, open fire; jar, stooping, having hair cut; peaches, stimulants; lying down; from 6 a.m. to noon; left side. Better: open air, cold applications, elevating head.
