Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse-chestnut)

Source: Horse-chestnut; family Sapindaceae. Plant kingdom.

ماخذ: ہارس چیسٹ نٹ؛ خاندان سیپنڈیسی۔ نباتاتی دوا۔

Key notes: Action marked on the lower bowel, producing engorged haemorrhoidal veins, with characteristic backache, with absence of actual constipation; much pain but little bleeding; venous congestion, especially portal and haemorrhoidal; congestion of liver and portal system with constipation; flying pains all over; fullness in various parts — dry, swollen mucous membranes; throat dry and rough.

Materia medica indications — میٹیریا میڈیکا میں مذکور کیفیات

Head: Heavy, as from a cold; pressure in forehead, with nausea, followed by stitches in right hypochondrium; neuralgic pains in head and face.

سر: زکام جیسا بھاری؛ متلی کے ساتھ ماتھے میں دباؤ، پھر دائیں پسلیوں کے نیچے چبھن؛ سر اور چہرے میں اعصابی درد۔

Throat: Hot, dry, raw, stinging; follicular pharyngitis connected with hepatic congestion; burning in throat when swallowing, with constant desire to hawk; varicose veins in pharynx.

گلا: گرم، خشک، چھلا، چبھن والا؛ جگر کے جماؤ سے وابستہ حلق کی غدودی سوزش؛ نگلنے پر جلن اور مسلسل کھنکارنے کی خواہش؛ حلق کی ابھری وریدیں۔

Rectum: Dry, aching; feels full of small sticks; anus raw, sore; much pain after stool, with prolapse; piles with sharp, shooting pains up the back; blind and bleeding; worse during climacteric; large, hard, dry stools; mucous membrane seems swollen and obstructs the passage; burning in anus with chills up and down the back.

مقعد و پاخانہ: خشک، دکھتا؛ چھوٹی تیلیوں سے بھرا محسوس؛ مقعد چھلا اور دکھتا؛ پاخانے کے بعد بہت درد، مقعد کے باہر آنے کے ساتھ؛ کمر میں اوپر کو برق نما درد والی بواسیر؛ بادی اور خونی؛ سنِ یاس میں بڑھے؛ بڑا، سخت، خشک پاخانہ؛ جھلی سوجی اور راستہ روکے؛ کمر میں اوپر نیچے کپکپی کے ساتھ مقعد میں جلن۔

Back: Constant dull backache, affecting sacrum and hips; very much aggravated by walking or stooping forward; when walking, feet turn; soles feel sore, tired and swollen; hands and feet swell and become red after washing, feel full.

کمر: کمر کے نچلے حصے اور کولہوں میں مسلسل مدھم درد؛ چلنے یا آگے جھکنے سے بہت بڑھے؛ چلتے ہوئے پاؤں مڑیں؛ تلوے دکھتے، تھکے اور سوجے؛ دھونے کے بعد ہاتھ پاؤں سوج کر سرخ، بھرے محسوس۔

Female: Constant throbbing behind symphysis pubis; leucorrhoea, with lameness of back across sacro-iliac articulation; dark yellow, sticky, corroding; worse after menses.

زنانہ اعضاء: زیرِ ناف ہڈی کے پیچھے مسلسل دھڑکن؛ کمر کے نچلے جوڑ میں لنگڑاہٹ کے ساتھ لیکوریا؛ گہرا زرد، چپچپا، کاٹنے والا؛ ماہواری کے بعد بڑھے۔

Modalities: Worse: in morning on awaking, and from any motion, walking; from moving bowels; after eating, afternoons, standing. Better: cool open air.

کمی بیشی: بڑھتی ہے: صبح جاگنے پر، کسی بھی حرکت، چلنا؛ پاخانے کے بعد؛ کھانے کے بعد، سہ پہر، کھڑا ہونا۔ بہتر: ٹھنڈی کھلی ہوا۔
